WMO - 60 Years of service for your safety and well-being” is the theme of the World Meteorological Day (WMD) celebrated yesterday by the National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) in 189 Member States and Territories.
Portuguese Weather Institute, Subscriptions
In the "A Meteorologia ao serviço da sua segurança e bem-estar" seminar presented yesterday, several institutions (ANPC, GPIAA and Instituto Hidrográfico) were represented, as well as the Portuguese Meteorological Institute, which presented a new project. This project, whose implementation was supported by Eurotux, creates the mechanisms which can send information regarding news, forecasts and warnings to any registered user.
The Portuguese Meteorological Institute also positioned itself in some social networks, and will promote an Open Week until March 26th.
