Eurotux supports the latest edition of the Jornadas de Informática of the University of Minho

The 14th edition of the JOIN – Jornadas de Informática (Days of Computer Science) of the University of Minho, was held between the 13 and 15 of June, 2016, at the Gualtar Campus, in Braga, Portugal. About 150 senior students and recent graduates had the opportunity to know more than 20 national and multinational companies.

Eurotux supports the latest edition of the Jornadas de Informática of the University of Minho

In addition to taking part in the jobshop, Eurotux held a technical session and sponsored the event. The company considers it important to support an initiative with the size and reputation of JOIN, aiding the transition from academic to professional life.

Eurotux, as with the remaining business community, recognizes the quality and versatility of the professionals trained at the University of Minho, and continues to seek talent coming from this institution.

This year’s edition featured talks concerning the “Intelligent Cloud”, debating the technical and social challenges of the tendency to depend more and more on this tool, as well as “Computer Security” and “MedTech”.

“We’re glad we don’t have enough students for the job offers we receive. The courses we offer for the licentiate and master degree in IT Engineering and in Computer Science, have recorded a scenario of full employments”, stated António Sousa, and Vítor Fonte, professors at the Department of Information Technology at the University of Minho.
