The Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the New University of Lisbon (NOVA FCSH) invested in a technological shift for its website, from the Plone platform to WordPress, while relying on the support of Dipcode, the Eurotux Group’s Web Development company. It is yet another strategic step toward a future of a collaboration that has extended over a decade.

The Eurotux Group had already been responsible for implementing the FCSH’s previous website on the Plone Content Management System. Now the higher education institution has decided to migrate to the WordPress platform, counting on Dipcode’s help to conduct this change. The Eurotux Group company has conducted similar migration in other projects, namely with the websites of the City Hall of Póvoa de Varzim, and the Portuguese Order of Dentists. This investment in WordPress allows companies and organizations to take advantage of some of the advantages of this CMS – Content Management System, offering usability and flexibility to host several solutions, in addition to greater autonomy in content management and constant evolution.

In the case of NOVA FCSH, the change not only includes a technological modernization, but also a new strategic digital positioning, with improved contents and a focus on a more up-to-date communication, namely with the intention of attracting international students. All of the website’s information is presented in a new architecture, thanks to a technological solution that guarantees greater organization, more accessibility, and improved performance, with a robust backoffice that offers countless potential. The platform allows you to create pages autonomously, which is aligned with NOVA FSCH’s internal communication strategy, enabling a high degree of autonomy.

The new website is “more intuitive, adapting to all screen resolutions and with information at the right place”, constituting “a New way of navigating in social sciences, the arts, and humanities”, as highlighted by the Faculty. The viewers can find information on the NOVA FCSH, the degrees, the research departments and projects, as well as the events calendar and news, in addition to other relevant data. The new website is now much more aligned with the goals and brand image of the Faculty that has been “shaping the future for 40 years”, as stated by one of its mottos.
