A commitment to high standards has been one of the guiding principles of the IPMA, I.P. regarding information technology. Fully aware of the ongoing challenge that this path demands of us, we acknowledge that the vast experience and qualifications of the Eurotux teams involved, enabled a final result formed by maximizing quality while minimizing the cost in resources, quickly and adequately addressing challenges and assertively covering the needs of the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere, I.P. Eurotux’s participation is based on: 1. The requirement in terms of availability of the IPMA’s website, www.ipma.pt, considering the high amount of traffic, volume of information and operability demanded from this project. To meet this standard the partnership with Eurotux has proven to be a real asset, in adopting adequate, rigorous and effective levels of control, guaranteeing the swiftness necessary to meet deadlines, while maintaining the quality, robustness and reliability of the solutions developed and strategically resorting to models based on open technology, in order to face the next challenges with a greater guarantee of success. 2. Development, implementation and application integration, namely: the internal project with a strong collaborative and corporate component, intranet.ipma.pt, the objectives of which have been fully met; the project related to the presence of the IPMA in the world of APPs, where innovation was a predominant factor. The intervention/participation of the Eurotux team was an essential part of this success, having played a leading role in the change and adaptation to new processes. Eurotux committed to an incremental model as a critical factor of success in mitigating opposition to change. We’ve found, with great satisfaction, that all of the changes were quickly assimilated and used, substantially reducing the time associated to this kind of training.
