Arkeia Solution Supply Models
Arkeia solutions are available in two main models: software and appliance:
- ASA (Arkeia Software Application): The software licensing is available in two formats: the traditional licensing by agents number, and the new licensing based on the volume of data to be protected either by perpetual licensing or subscription.
- Arkeia Appliances: Available in two sub-models with preconfigured appliances:
- APA (Arkeia Physical Appliance): Global backup solution, since it includes hardware and software. 6 appliances models are available with different capacities. More information.
- AVA (Arkeia Virtual Appliance): Ideal solution for virtual environments. 4 models available are for VMware environments. More information.
Any of the listed models features 12 months of maintenance that includes technical support (3 levels of service are available) as well as the updates and upgrades that become available.

New ASA Licensing Format
The licensing based on the volume of data to protect, for the ASA model, responds to a growing need in flexibility and simplification of licensing models through evolution and heterogeneity of existing infrastructure, since price depends on the volume of data to protect (before applying deduplication or compression) with an unlimited number of agents and with a large number of features included that would otherwise be of optional acquisition.
The licensing by volume is available in three editions: Starter, SMB, and Enterprise, which differ in the inclusion of data base agents, applicational agents, directory agents, etc.. The licensing for each TB of data to protect will be added to the licensing of each edition (additional information and software prices available here).
Licensing by the number of agents remains available either through the acquisition of products individually or through pre-defined bundles.
One should underline that it is possible to migrate from the traditional model based on the number of agents to the volume based model (if you already are an Arkeia client please contact our sales department for a quote).
