IT infrastructure of S. Conrado renewed by Eurotux
Eurotux renewed S. Conrado’s IT infrastructure, which was reaching the limits of its own use. The technological solution applied required an increase in storage capacity and infrastructure availability, in order to grant users quicker and safer access, and greater service usage capacity. The chosen storage unit was the IBM V3700, which was the main driver of the project. Thanks to its scalability and flexibility, this storage unit has been chosen by other Eurotux clients from different areas of activity, namely, banking (Banco Finantia), Education (Superior School of Nursing of Porto), and Technology (DigitalSign), among others. Existing switches and blades were upgraded to maximize the potential of using this storage unit.
In addition to these improvements in performance and storage capacity, a backup solution was also implemented. The quality and speed of the project’s execution established a close relationship between S. Conrado and Eurotux, culminating with the hiring of a support service that allows S. Conrado to rely on Eurotux’s technical expertise in maintaining the IT infrastructure that keeps its business running, every day of the year.
Given the importance of the IT infrastructure for S. Conrado, the development and implementation of the solution was executed in close contact with the client, through Engineer Marco Silva, who provided valuable insights for a quick development, and in line with all of the technical requirements. Eurotux’s superb knowledge and technical expertise was decisive for this project’s success. It was this know-how that fitted perfectly with S. Conrado’s business vision, giving its IT infrastructure more capacity, speed, and reliability.
S. Conrado is a 35 year old business, featuring after-sales service for one of the leading automobile brands. Located in Porto, Portugal, it has modern facilities and a team of 80 workers. The company is also closely tied to motorsports, in which the Petiz brothers have obtained countless victories and national titles.
