Eurotux joins Microsoft EMEA Hosting Club
59 partners from 17 countries took part in the 18th EMEA Hosting Clube Executive Roundtable in Cascais, Portugal. The EMEA Hosting Club is an exclusive community for the deciders and leading opinion makers in the EMEA’s hosting service market, where new members can only gain entry by invitation. This event gathers personalities and leading companies from the hosting market in Europe, Middle East and Africa, earning the opportunity to share ideas with other market players, and contribute to strengthening the hosting community. This edition was dedicated to the theme “Next Generation of Service Providers”, addressing quality of service provision, business growth, value creation, the improvement of client relations and communication, and distribution channels, among others.
The club’s history began when several companies suggested during meetings in the EMEA region, that Microsoft should create a platform so that hosting service providers could network, considering their wide ranging scope in the market. Microsoft agreed to the idea and in December 2004, held the first Executive Roundtable with more than 20 partners from the EMEA. The feedback from the pilot edition was very positive. Many suggestions were forwarded concerning how to grow the idea even further and the result was the creation of the EMEA Hosting Club. Microsoft is part of this community, assuming the role of enabling a forum for the region’s hosting service providers to debate the market tendencies, share their best practices and identify synergies and create partnerships in order approach opportunities the market has to offer in the best form possible.
