Eurotux takes part in book on emerging human resource management and development practices
The book “Human Resource management and development – Emerging practices”, published in April this year, presents 11 examples of distinct organizations with emerging human resource (HR) management and development practices, producing effective results and explaining how the HR is changing. The book covers the implementation, the results, the critical success factors, and the lessons learned.
Eurotux was invited to take part in the book by the Human Resources department of the Centre for Organizational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (P.PORTO).
With the motto “the company as a space for learning”, Eurotux presented the concept of Tux Teachings, as well as the advantages and results that they’ve provided. Tux Teaching are short-term internal training sessions. They cover the most important technologies for each employee. They are informal sessions presented by the initiative of employees, with the company’s support. The chapter dedicated to Tux Teachings also includes employees’ testimonies.
Eurotux’s participation in this initiative was a form of sharing experiences and serving as an inspiration for other organizations.
