Eurotux is one of the exemples of good practices featured in the book “Management and Development of Human Resources – Pratices in a Transformational Context”. The book, launched last April, was put together by the Centre of Organizational and Social Studies of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto (IPP), seeking to help manage companies’ greatest capital, namely its people.
The book launch was held at the Grand Auditorium of the ISCAP – Superior Institute of Accounting and Administration, which is part of the IPP, within the scope of the ninth edition of the International Conference of Research and Intervention in Human Resources. The conference gathered about 140 field researchers and professionals, with a few of the participating companies being invited to take part in the book with case studies of good practices of Human Resources management, which were implemented to address concrete challenges, within a context of digital transformation.
Eurotux was one of the selected companies, taking part in the book with the chapter “Job Design – preparation for the future”, which presents how the company adapted to the current professional market, in order to improve the organization of work according to business goals and the satisfaction of the collaborators that are involved. There was a need to review Eurotux’s functional structure, in order to increase collaborators’ autonomy, improve internal communication and performance, and increase the motivation levels and development of professional skills. These changes had an impact, practically on the company’s entire structure, improving the organization of teams and work, and for defining the most appropriate training plans, among other valuable changes.
The Management of Human Resources is one of Eurotux’s pillars, which seeks to provide its collaborators with all of the necessary conditions for giving their best, in order to attain their objectives of personal and professional growth, as well as empowering the success of the company and its clients. The evolution regarding job design take on a decisive role in attracting and retaining talents, a goal that the company has managed to achieve. This path has been driven by sustained growth, based on a young and highly qualified team.
