Eurotux contributes to the cause of Valoriza – Associação de Desenvolvimento Local (Local Development Association)
As usual at Eurotux, every year a social responsibility activity is carried out as a way to positively impact the community where it is inserted by supporting the causes of non-governmental entities and associations in the district of Braga.
This year the employees chose to contribute to the cause of the Associação de Desenvolvimento Local Valoriza, present in the municipality of Amares, with the donation of hygiene products, of a list defined by the institution, which will be destined to the Centro de Atividades Ocupacionais, as well as a cash donation from Eurotux, which will be applied in all projects from the institution.
According to Dr. Elisabete Teixeira, Services Director at Valoriza, “In a time of pandemic where the most vulnerable, socially and physically, are even more exposed to the effects of COVID-19, prevention and hygiene are our greatest weapon! Since March 2020, we have been fighting daily for the virus to stay “out there” and not to endanger, even more, those who are already at a disadvantage […] To all those who have contributed to the Valoriza cause, our deepest thanks and the certainty that your donations will be channeled to those who need them. Well there is everyone!”
About Valoriza
The Valoriza association was created in 2010, with the mission of boosting local development in the district of Braga, especially in the municipality of Amares, through the social integration of disadvantaged or vulnerable individuals and social groups.
Valoriza carries out projects of a social, economic, cultural, environmental and sporting nature, focused on the assistance of children, young people, adults with disabilities and the elderly. The entity also actively participates in the training of its people, with the development of handicrafts, tourism and other cultural, professional, educational and economic-social activities.
