Eurotux returns to the office with a hybrid model and new team adaptation guidelines
Eurotux reinforced its Human Resources policy to adjust the company and its employees to the new post-pandemic reality. The company in Braga will adopt a hybrid regime upon returning to the premises, thus ensuring greater flexibility, an argument that allows its teams to choose the work model – at home or in the office – and promoting better management and organization of personal and professional life. Employees have the choice to work in the office all the time, or one or two days from home.
The adoption of Eurotux’s new Human Resources measures aims to aid the smooth transition from a work-at-home collaboration model – adopted during the pandemic – to a mixed model that allows for a gradual adjustment of routines and return to the office. With the vast majority of employees having reported to the company having received the full vaccination, Eurotux has implemented a flexible regime for this transition phase with some team and work protection measures:
- Each employee can choose how to return to the office: Hybrid working model (some days at home and others at the company) or shift model (one week at the office and two at home). This transition period was designed so that people can gradually adapt to the new reality, without a sudden change that completely alters their new routine.
- Material support for employees: Employees who choose the hybrid model have access to the company’s help plan, which ensures all the material the employee needs to perform their tasks. In this case, Eurotux guarantees a desk, chair, keyboard, monitor and mouse both in the company and at home.
- Reinforcement of protective measures: The company provides free self-tests for employees and maintains the mandatory use of masks. The company will also maintain other safety and hygiene conditions, and employees who choose to work in the company will be required to maintain social distance. Teams cannot share keyboards or mice, or other personal equipment.
- Performance oriented but with rules that protect employees: Eurotux promotes a results orientation, trusts the autonomy and responsibility of its employees but respects their working hours, just as if they were in the office. This applies to scheduling meetings or expecting people to be available. Even at home, people have the right to disconnect and Eurotux believes that focus and productivity are only properly achieved if employees are motivated but also if they have the necessary rest outside of work.
With the adoption of a hybrid work system, Eurotux aims to reinforce its teams’ sense of belonging. The company guarantees, however, the continuity of the complete remote work system for employees who live in other cities, such as Lisbon.
Daniela Costa, Eurotux’s Director of Management and Development, states that “the human resources policy Eurotux is now implementing was conceived during the pandemic and designed to guarantee the security of the company’s teams, while ensuring expectations management. Our employees can make the transition to a hybrid model at their own pace, with complete comfort and managing both personal and professional needs without jeopardizing either one of them”.
