Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro Hospital uses Eurotux’s electronic voting solution
The Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro Hospital Center will start the process for the election of the Workers’ Representative to integrate the Advisory Council. The EPE, as it is also known, is made up of four hospital units: the S. Pedro Hospital in Vila Real, where the head office is located, the Chaves District Hospital in Chaves, the Lamego Proximity Hospital in Lamego and the Palliative Care Unit in Vila Pouca de Aguiar.
The importance of electoral security and fraud prevention led the EPE to choose the eVoto electronic voting solution from the Eurotux Group, which is based on the platform developed for the University of Minho, evotUM. This system is faster and more efficient, with full auditability guarantees. Furthermore, it provides results in real time.
The new system was developed by Eurotux Group and uses an electronic voting process which will make the voting process less susceptible to fraudulent practices. Eurotux’s electronic voting solution is applicable to any electoral process and brings added security and reliability to processes which are sometimes lengthy and logistically complicated.
eVoto, the electronic voting solution
eVotUM was created with open source technologies such as Django, with which Dipcode has extensive experience and know-how. The development team paid special attention to security and availability, ensuring, among other things, the anonymity, confidentiality, integrity, auditability and security of the electronic vote.
Voters can vote securely and confidentially from any computer with Internet access, and integrations with multiple authentication methods are available for both the Electoral Commission and voters, such as directory services or the Mobile Digital Key.
The electoral process supported by Eurotux’s solution will take place on January 19th.
