Eurotux introduces ETVPN-Authenticator for OpenVPN and reinforces cybersecurity offer
As a result of an R&D project in 2022, the company developed this component to strengthen the security of its connections with the outside world and decided to make this robust tool available to the general public.
Considering the exponential increase of cybersecurity threats, Eurotux developed ETVPN-Authenticator, a component for OpenVPN solution, which assertively meets the latest security, performance, flexibility and control requirements. ETVPN-Authenticator supports Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and allows specific routing to specific user groups. In addition, its architecture allows for constant monitoring, scalability and upgradability.
ETVPN-Authenticator successfully passed the test phase, and Eurotux is now using a VPN solution customized to its security needs. The ease of remote use of resources has improved with the possibility of defining defined routes for specific user groups. As a result, the global security of Eurotux’s internal network has increased considerably.
Eurotux believes that the theoretical and practical knowledge obtained in this area may benefit other entities and, always committed to open-source solutions, made the solution available to the public under a GPLv2 license.
Why VPN?
Given its experience in scenarios with the leading public clouds, Eurotux prioritizes security and high availability of systems. A VPN solution is essential to guarantee the security and privacy of transmitted information. With ETVPN-Authenticator, the company strengthens the security of its VPN, implementing additional security factors that other solutions did not have.
