Eurotux takes part in CloudAnchor project
CloudAnchor establishes as its main objective, the development, testing, and integration of solutions aimed at creating intermediate systems connecting several IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) providers. Among cloud systems, IaaS systems are the ones that allow for the most client flexibility and control over applications.
This recently approved project is directed at presenting solutions that respond to technological challenges, such as decentralized service identification and localization, or dynamically negotiating and contracting services. Additionally it also focuses on establishing secure non-repudiable transactions that guarantee information integrity.
Considering the specificities of this technological area, Eurotux presents itself as an ideal partner for this project, given its experience with cloud. The company not only possesses the technical capacity for its implementation, but also offers a wide-range of services based on cloud technology.
With Eurotux’ contribution, CloudAnchor will try to overcome the obstacles of interoperability, adopt standardized interfaces (APIs), protocols, architectures and models, as well as analyse new models of contracting and service quality of Cloud Computing, with regards to IaaS. The project will receive QREN financing (Portuguese national strategic reference framework).
Consortium constituted by nine partners
The consortium behind CloudAnchor consists of nine partners: Vmuse, Eurotux, Multicert, PT Inovação, PT Negócios, Telecommunications Institute, the University of Porto (Faculty of Engineering and Rectorate), the University of Minho (CCG/ZGDV) Superior Institute of Engineering of Porto.
This consortium allows for the establishment of a multi-disciplinary team, consisting of specialists from the several technological areas involved, covering, on the one hand, professionals with a profound understanding of the business world, with a high level of innovation and internationalization, and on the other, a set of R&D entities of international repute.
