Eurotux organizes briefing event on GDPR
Eurotux has put together a briefing event on GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation, on January 30th, 2018, beginning at 9:30 AM, at the Sheraton Porto Hotel & Spa, in Porto, Portugal.
With the GDPR coming into effect, the Eurotux will provide information on the changes prescribed by the new legislation, as well as clarify how companies should prepare for them. The new regulation will begin to apply on May 25th, 2018, with hefty fines penalizing companies that are not yet in conformity with the new law. In this briefing event, Eurotux will address the processes, activities, and technologies involved with the GDPR, as well as introduce services and solutions that help to comply with the new regulation.
The GDPR is devised as a way to homogenize the laws of the European Union (EU), regarding the treatment and processing of citizens’ data. However, the regulation will have a global impact, since even companies from outside the EU will have to respect the new law, as long as they are handling data pertaining to European citizens. The new standards reinforce the security and privacy of citizen’s personal data that are withheld by companies, requiring rigorous measures concerning the origin, storage, treatment, and access to that type of information. This requires many companies to reposition their entire Information Technology structure, in order to comply with GDPR.
It is with this urgent need in mind that Eurotux has organized a briefing session on the GDPR, with the goal of providing information concerning the tools and ideal strategy to adopt, in order to comply with the new legislation, and avoid the heavy sanctions that are prescribed for noncompliance.
The event is already sold out.
