Foundation for Science and Technology distinguishes Eurotux with an award for good practices in Web Accessibility
The awards were given out at the 2015 Forum for the Information Society – Web Accessibility, held at the Portuguese Foundation for Communications, in Lisbon, early December. This event was organized by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) and the Association for the Promotion and Development of the Information Society (APDSI).
The company is among the top 10 companies in good practices in Web accessibility, as a result of the study that evaluated the websites of Portuguese small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) of Excellence, conducted between 2014-2015 within the scope of the Accessweb-Web Accessibility Barometer.
The prize awarded by the FCT has the goal of motivating companies to address accessibility requirements of their websites, enabling people with special needs to properly navigate the web.
The Accessweb website, provides a Guide for Good Practices and Accessibility Guidelines for Web Content (WCAG) 2.0.
