Feirauto Group modernized IT system with IBM Power System
With the goal of modernizing its IT system, the Feirauto Group replaced its IBM Power server, which operated for the company for several years without any disruption, for a more modern and potent machine – an IBM Power System S812 (8284-21A).
This modernization sought to provide a machine with the performance and capacity required to receive updates to its ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), which is provided by all@Work. This Business Management Software company helps to improve solutions for different business, with the Power ERP, which it provides to its clients. The Feirauto Group has been a client of all@work for more than 25 years, using the ERP SII Power for finance and management, in car sales and post-sales and salary processing services. The implementation of the IBM Power System S812 enabled the evolution to a more recent version of the ERP, which stands out for its customization, usability, and security/stability.
The installed system has a computational capacity that is 65 times greater than its predecessor, providing 6 times for RAM, and increasing disk capacity by a factor of 8. The server’s upgrade also modernized the backup solution, increasing storage capacity in over 150 times, as well as maximizing its performance and reliability. The server’s replacement was conducted without interrupting the business, making it clear, yet again, that Power technology protects your investment, without requiring any changes to your applications, nor specific training for its users.
