Eurotux delivered goods to the Social Solidarity Association of S. Tiago de Fraião
Eurotux delivered the collected goods within the scope of the company’s social responsibility initiative, which was developed together with its employees, for the Social Solidarity Association of S. Tiago de Fraião, in Braga, an institution that is dedicated to supporting the elderly and the sick.
The goods were delivered by Eurotux employees on January 10th, to the Private Social Solidary Institution’s facilities. Eurotux took the occasion to manifest its support for the Public Utility Association that has been active since 1998, providing Residential Facilities for the elderly, Day Center, and Home Support Services. Currently, it supports about 100 users of its several services, on a daily basis, every day of the year.
Eurotux’s employees were challenged to donate food goods and hygiene products, since these were the Association’s most needed products. The company covered the value of the goods donated by the employees, also in kind, with the total being delivered to the organization.
Eurotux regularly promotes initiatives of social responsibility together with its employees, with the goal of helping to improve the local community. Prior to this campaign to support the Social Solidarity Association of S. Tiago de Fraião, it participated in other solidarity initiatives, namely within the scope of food drives for the Portuguese Food Bank Against Hunger, and the Portuguese League Against Cancer. It also provided hosting services, free of charge, for the FalarSobreCancro.org website that provides useful information on the disease, allowing the oncological community to share their experiences.
Social Responsibility is one of Eurotux’s strategic areas, involving all of the company’s ranks, within the scope of a philosophy that focuses on good social, economic, and environmental practices.
