Eurotux presents a free cyber-security guide to telecommuters
The guide, in an ebook format, was written for employees in companies which have adopted remote work. The download will soon be available, free of charge, on Eurotux’s website.
The sudden growth of remote working jobs, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, brought new concerns and challenges for the IT departments in several organizations.
Aware of the increasing number of threats and attacks directed towards companies in the teleworking regime during the pandemic, Eurotux has produced a guide for the awareness-raising of best practices in information security, which will empower employees in these companies to protect themselves and the organization they work in.
The guide, written with the participation of expert collaborators from different Eurotux departments, brings in theory and practice 6 steps to help the reader to protect his company remotely, from techniques to set a good password to early identification of scams and other practices used by hackers to steal confidential information.
According to Lucas Boechat, one of the employees responsible for the document, “one of our objectives with the guide is to help companies adopt an information security culture in a didactic and accessible way, by sharing it internally. Currently many teams are working outside the protected environment of organizations, and need to be aware of the vulnerabilities brought by teleworking”.
The guide (in portuguese) is already available for reading on the Eurotux website, and can also be downloaded in PDF format.
