Eurotux brings a different kind of celebration to São João’s
Eurotux has provided a different kind of “São João” celebration to its employees, adapted to the post-Pandemic reality.
The physical distance did not hinder Eurotux’s employees from celebrating this year’s “São João”. With only 20% of the employees working in person in its office in Braga, Eurotux this year had an online approach for the get-together of its team during the celebration of the date.
To give a little bit of the São João celebrations spirit to our employees at Eurotux, many initiatives were organized throughout this Tuesday, such as thematic space decorating and offering gifts (basil pots) to the employees who are working within the premises. For those who are working from home, São João kits were sent by mail with an illustrative postcard where quatrains written by employees were printed, and with materials for the construction of a mini balloon of São João.
A moment of conviviality
At the end of the afternoon and to promote a moment of conviviality, a video call was made with the employees (in person and remotely) for a toast of São João. During the conviviality a quick virtual tour of the facilities was carried out, then the kits were shown to those who had not yet received, and so everyone could interact in a pleasant moment of celebration.
The challenge
The whole team was challenged to build a small balloon with their families and share the results with all the coworkers, through the company’s internal chat.
A human oriented company
Quoting the Director of Management and Development, Daniela Costa, “Eurotux has always privileged the human relations among its employees having created the TuxTeam concept with several associated dynamics. This year we had an additional challenge, due to the pandemic, so we had to maintain the team building efforts despite the physical distance. Since the beginning we tried to reassure and help people to overcome this moment in the best way we could. What motivated us to develop this initiative was the fact that we could not celebrate the São João the same way, so we decided to make a surprise for our employees.
Eurotux has promoted other activities such as sending tips of the week for the remote workers, dispatching fruits and vegetables to the house of the employees, encouraging the sharing of photos with the home-office routine through the internal chat and “visits” to greet the coworkers in the virtual rooms of each department.
