Full house at the Eurotux briefing event on GDPR
The briefing event on GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation, promoted by Eurotux last Tuesday, January 30th, at the Sheraton Porto Hotel & Spa, in Porto, Portugal, completely sold out. The turnout surpassed expectations, so a second session on GDPR is already planned, for a date and location that will be revealed soon.
With the impending coming into effect of the GDPR, on May 25th, it is urgent that companies and organizations prepare for the requirements prescribed by the law. The new Regulation strengthens privacy, security, and the rights of the owners of personal data withheld by companies, providing heavy fines for companies in non-compliance.
During the briefing event in Porto, Eurotux addressed this scenario, discussing the processes, activities, and technologies affected by the GDPR. Eurotux also presented services and solutions that help to comply with the new Regulation that aims to harmonize laws within the European Union (UE), regarding the treatment and processing of citizens data. The new law requires organizations to change the paradigm of their Information Technology infrastructures, in order to comply with the GDPR.
For this purpose, and given the considerable demand for this information, Eurotux will organize a second briefing event on the Regulation, contributing to an appropriate and efficient implementation of the GDPR.
The date and location of the event will be announced shortly. Keep in touch with Eurotux’s website and social networks.
