Eurotux achieves certification to the ISO 42001 Artificial Intelligence standard and renews its ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications
Eurotux has reinforced its commitment to quality, information security and the responsible development of Artificial Intelligence. The company has obtained certification to the ISO 42001 standard, the first international standard dedicated to the management of AI systems, whilst simultaneously renewing its ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 27001 (Information Security) certifications. This triple recognition consolidates a path of continuous improvement that Eurotux has been building over recent years, and comes at a time when the adoption of Artificial Intelligence in Portuguese organisations is accelerating, bringing with it new demands for governance, ethics and transparency.
Artificial Intelligence with governance safeguards
ISO 42001 sets out the requirements for an Artificial Intelligence management system, defining clear criteria for the development, implementation and monitoring of AI solutions. Unlike other, more general standards, this framework has been specifically designed to address the risks associated with AI, ranging from algorithmic biases and a lack of transparency to issues of accountability and social impact, requiring certified organisations to have documented processes for risk assessment, human oversight and continuous monitoring of system performance.
